Nintendo has confirmed the $69.99 USD price tag for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, after it was removed from their website yesterday.
In case you’re wondering what’s going on, Nintendo has now provided an official response (via Game Informer). The video game giant says game pricing is determined “case-by-case” and the price tag on the new Zelda game won’t necessarily be a trend:
“Nintendo determines the suggested retail price for each product individually.”
As a reminder, don’t expect to see this particular amount attached to every Nintendo game or Switch release in the future. For the average release, $59.99 USD should still be the price tag.
