As the Nintendo Direct for February 2023 ended a few hours ago, it’s time for a recap! This time, Nintendo has outdone itself.
Nintendo was founded in Japan in 1889 and has grown into one of the largest and most influential companies in the video game industry. Millions of gamers around the world enjoy its video game franchises such as Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Pokémon.
The Nintendo Direct event in February 2023 provided a glimpse of what we can expect from the Switch platform in the first half of this year. A variety of exciting reveals were made during the 40-minute showcase, including trailers for several upcoming games and updates to previously announced games. What was announced is summarized below.

Nintendo Direct February 2023 was jam-packed with exciting announcements and news. There’s something for everyone, from remastered classics to new games. Pikmin 4 is coming out in July, Bayonetta Origins in March, Disney Illusion Island is coming out in July, Harmony: The Fall of Reverie from Don’t Nod will arrive in June, Octopath Traveler 2 is coming soon, We Love Katamari Reroll+ Royal Reverie will arrive in June, Sea of Stars will arrive in August, and many more. A new Professor Layton and Legend of Zelda game will also be released in the future, as well as remastered versions of Etrian Odyssey, Advance Wars, and GameCube role-playing games Baten Kaitos.

Here it is, the highly anticipated Pikmin 4
As the most anticipated reveal of the Nintendo Direct, Pikmin 4 was shown off with a trailer. As charming and adorable as fans could hope for, the game will be released on July 21, 2023.
There are only a few days left until Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Volume 3 is released
A new installment in the Xenoblade Chronicles series will be released this month, followed by a fourth volume later this year. Xenoblade fans have left the Nintendo Direct event in February 2023 smiling.

Tron: Identity revealed
A second Nintendo Switch title, Tron: Identity, will be available in April from Bithell Games.
Ghost Trick: The Ghost Detective
This summer, Capcom will release Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, a remastered version of the first game in the murder mystery series.
DecaPolice will be available this year
Additionally, Level 5 showed off DecaPolice, which will be available on Switch this year.
Bayonetta Origins: Cherry and the demon lost
On March 17, Platinum will release Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon.
The Disney Island of Illusion
On July 28, Disney Illusion Island, a platform game featuring Mickey Mouse and his friends, will be released.
Expansion Pass Pack 2 for Fire Emblem Engage
Nintendo’s February 2023 Nintendo Direct featured previews for Packs 3 and 4 of the Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass.
The Fall of Reverie: Harmony
The developer of Life is Strange has a new game coming out in June called Harmony: The Fall of Reverie.
Traveler Octopath 2
Octopath is next on the Nintendo Direct for February 2023. The demo for Octopath Traveler 2 contains the first few hours of the game, which will be available soon.

The Legend of Zelda:
The launch games include Link’s Awakening DX and Gargoyle’s Quest. There will be more games added in the future. Classic titles such as Mario Kart: Super Circuit and The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap are also available on the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
Metroid prime
In a massive Nintendo Direct announcement in February 2023, the original Metroid Prime has been remastered for Nintendo Switch and is now available on the eShop. On March 3, a physical version will be available.
Zelda is back with a new game
In the February 2023 Nintendo Direct, a new Legend of Zelda game was announced. There wasn’t much revealed, but the trailer looked amazing. It is still in early development, but fans can expect it to be released soon.
