Biomutant Set for Nintendo Switch Launch in November

THQ Nordic and Experiment 101 have revealed that their open-world, post-apocalyptic Wung-Fu fable RPG, Biomutant, is scheduled to launch on the Nintendo Switch on November 30. The game is already accessible on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, and Humble Store. Biomutant offers a distinctive martial arts-inspired combat system, enabling players to blend melee, shooting, and mutant abilities in their gameplay. Throughout the game, players can acquire new Wung-Fu combat techniques and modify their genetic makeup, impacting both their appearance and gameplay style. In-game bio-contamination exposure may result in mutations such as Turtleform and Mucus Bubble, while radioactive exposure from old-world bunkers can unlock psi-mutations like telekinesis and levitation.

Players have the freedom to design their own weapons, combining various components to generate unique 1H or 2H slashing and crushing weapons. Some in-game characters will even create exclusive items for the player, like bionic wings, a jump-pack, and upgrades for their Automaton companion. The player’s loadout is also highly customizable. Players can select their crafted weapons and the gear they wear, such as gas masks and oxygen tanks for Dead Zone exploration, thermos-resistant attire for cryonic regions, and protective equipment for battling bio-contaminated creatures.

The colorful open world of Biomutant can be traversed on foot, in mechs, on jet-skis, in air-balloons, or on region-specific mounts. The game presents a wealth of discoveries, enigmatic puzzles, menacing creatures, and eccentric characters to encounter. The unusual narrative is driven by the player’s actions, which determine the fate of the New World as a plague ravages the land and the Tree-of-Life bleeds death from its roots. The Tribes are divided and require a strong leader to either unify them or bring about their downfall. A Storyteller guides players through the world, but their actions and choices ultimately decide the story’s conclusion. Biomutant’s addition to the Nintendo Switch lineup, with its innovative combat mechanics, flexible crafting and equipment system, vivid open world, and extraordinary story, promises an unforgettable gaming adventure for players.
